6 Reasons Why You Should Give Brain Training a Try

You’ve seen the ads for brain training. Lumosity, brain games, neuronation, and many others are telling you to exercise that organ between your ears. Are you listening to their advice or casually letting the information slip in one ear and out the other. If you are constantly denying that you synapse still fire, stop; stop now. Here are six reasons why you should give brain training a try with some helpful brain boosting activity.

Education

Education is something once you have it, no one can take it away from you. Keep your wealth of knowledge safe and ever growing by training it on a daily basis. You can’t put a price on education (just don’t tell that to your alma mater and student loan creditors).

Boost Creativity

Not all jobs require loads of creativity, but thinking creativity only lives in the work environment severely limits how interesting the rest of your life will be. When you exercise your brain, your creativity will increase. Before you know it, you’ll be making eggs benedict and crêpes instead of cheerios for breakfast. Of course, other areas of your life besides your breakfast will gain the benefits from brain training.

Improve Performance Issues

Do you watch Jeopardy at night only to have your middle school kids answering more questions right than you? Stretch those mental muscles and you will improve at not only trivia; your cognitive abilities to perform for long times and under stress will increase as well.

Attract the Opposite Sex

This is the sub-title you’ve wanted to read. It’s very self-explanatory. The majority of Americans need intelligent conversation for a relationship to work. A brain that is working at 10% capability isn’t going to cut it in the dating world; hit the mental gym as often as the physical gym if you want to be more attractive.

Open Your Mind to New Ideas

Are the rants on the news not making any sense to you? Have no clue what troga is? Become more receptive and open to newer ideas as your brain is able to process information at a different level through training. Don’t worry about trying troga though, treadmill yoga isn’t for everyone.

Reap the Rewards, Large and Small

Trouble landing the promotion you’ve wanted for years? Find yourself forgetting things you knew twenty years? It is true that if you don’t use it you lose it. Not saying you are going to go crazy, but if you don’t train your brain to be smarter, you will begin retaining less and less information. Land that promotion you want by increasing your brains’ functioning, or just beat your kids at Jeopardy this week; either way there are rewards to brain training.
